Subchronic toxicity of four per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) by oral exposure in Sprague-Dawley rats (ORD-066307)
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are widely present and persistent in the environment and exposure can occur via multiple pathways. Human and animal PFAS exposure has been associated with alterations in thyroid hormones, immunologic function, lipid metabolism, liver effects and other adverse health outcomes. The objective of this study was to evaluate the subchronic toxicity of four specific PFAS in 90-day oral rat studies.
