Updated SeqAPASS Version 8.0 User Guide for new users that describes the following features:

  • Automatic filtering for Level 3 sequence alignment selections based on annotations.
  • Advanced users can request Level 4 access for protein structure generation and alignment to gather additional lines of evidence toward conservation
  • Experts in structural biology can generate domain-specific protein structures for alignment in Level 4 to gather additional lines of evidence toward conservation.
  • Conversion of aligned sequences from Level 2 to FASTA format for Level 4
  • The iCn3D tool has been integrated into Level 4 results to visualize protein structures and allows alignment and superposition analyses.
  • Streamlined process for integration of Level 4 data for evaluating protein structures across species in the context of understanding conservation, extrapolating knowledge across species, and predicting chemical susceptibility
